5 Red Flags in Online Dating Profiles
Here are the 5 most common red flags in online dating profiles.
Continue reading to the end of the article for a bonus tip on how to never have a bad date.
1. The Guy or Girl’s Online Dating Profile is Blank
If someone left their online dating profile blank, then they are LAZY. Plain and simple.
If someone can’t spend 5 minutes to fill out a simple dating app profile, then they aren’t taking dating seriously.
Swipe left if someone’s dating profile is blank.
If someone can’t spend 5 minutes completing a profile prompt, what makes you think that he (or she!) will spend 5 minutes planning a date – and put in the effort to actually show up on time?
2. The Guy or Girl is Looking for “Something Casual” vs. “Dating” or a “Relationship”
If you are looking for a relationship, swipe LEFT on people who are looking for something casual.
Make sure to READ what the person is looking for on their profile.
3. The Person’s Smile or Body Language Just Seem Off
Body language says a LOT. If the person’s smile or body language just gives you a bad gut feeling, move forward with caution.
4. Their Intro Starts with “Hey Sexy!” or “Hey Cutie” Before Meeting You
A little bit of flirting is nice, but if a guy (or girl) comes off TOO strong and starts suggesting sexual things, then swipe left and move on.
5. They Aren’t On Facebook, Instagram, or LinkedIn
You can find almost ANYONE on the internet now-a-days.
All you need is their first name, the name of their school, their city, and their profession.
With this information, you can usually find someone’s first name and last name and their social media profiles.
Don’t stalk the person, but if you can’t find ANY information about the person online than they may be using a fake name.
Bonus Tip to NEVER Have a Bad Date
Want a bonus tip to decrease your chance of getting a bad date?
TALK to the person the phone before the date. It can only be for 3-5 minutes to arrange the time and place of the date. You can call a lot about a person by their tone of voice and by what they say on the phone.
