1. He’s learned from his divorce.
If a guy has learned from his divorce, it can be okay to date him.
Ask a divorced man if he has learned from his divorce.
- Did you take your wife for granted?
- Did you prioritize your career over your wife?
- Were you gone all the time for work, leaving your wife alone by herself?
2. He loves kids.
If you want kids and a guy loves kids, that’s a positive sign.
If you want kids, make sure he is open to more kids. Don't start dating him for months and then realize 6 months into the relationship that he is done with kids!
3. The man has learned from the divorce and has changed.
People change. Ask the divorced guy thoughtful questions during a date.
- How do you prioritize things differently in your life now than you did 5 years ago?
- What’s your mom like? (Listen to his tone of voice: He should respect his mother.)
- Why do you think your ex left you?
- Was your ex crazy? (I don't care what the man's ex-wife did. A man should never call a woman crazy. He chose to marry her!)
It’s a positive sign if a guy has dedicated time to reflect on his past relationships, and has changed for the better.
4. He supports your career.
If a guy supports you in your career and in your goals (whatever they may be), he’s a keeper.
Some divorced men may be self-centered. It is a positive sign if a divorced man supports you in your career or your goals, whatever they may be!
5. He gives you the love you want in an ideal relationship.
If a divorced man makes you feel loved, sexy, and desired…or whatever you want in an ideal relationship – then he’s a keeper.
Think about your ideal relationship and how you want to feel and be treated. If you are getting what you want from a divorced guy, continue dating him!
Be Careful When Dating s Divorced Man, But Don’t Write Him Off!
In conclusion, be careful when dating a divorced man.
It is absolutely ok to date a divorced man. Just make sure that he treats you well and that he wants what you want long term!

If you are in your 30s, it is absolutely okay to ask a divorced man, "what are you looking for?"
If a guy is looking for "fun" and not a relationship, you need to evaluate if it is worth your time to potentially "waste" your time dating him.

Yes. It is absolutely acceptable to ask a divorced man if he wants kids EARLY on.
In your 20s you may be afraid to ask. But in your 30s, guys are expecting you to ask the question if you are a single woman. I polled my guy friends. They all said, "YES - go ahead and ask the guy on the first date...or before you even meet!" It can be casual. Just say, "What are your thoughts on kids?"
