Keep a Girl Interested Long Distance: Dating Tips for Men
One of the keys to keeping a girl interested is momentum. A woman needs to see a man weekly to stay interested (it’s all about momentum!).
If you went on a first in-person date with a girl and are now struggling to keep her interested in you, you are not alone.
It’s hard to date long distance and to keep a girl interested. Yes, you can go on virtual dates using WebEx, Skype, or GoToMeeting – but who wants to do that?
3 Ways to Keep a Girl Interested In When Dating Long Distance
Below are three simple and easy ways to keep a girl interested in dating you long distance.
1. Find an Online Game to Play Together
One easy, low commitment way to keep a girl interested in you is to find a fun, low-pressure way for you two to connect daily. Try playing DrawSomething. It’s so much fun! It’s like Pictionary, but on your cell phone.
DrawSomething is a fun game like Pictionary that you can play with a girl to keep her interested in you during during long distance dating.
Ask the girl if she’d be interested in playing, and then you two can send each other a Pictionary-like photo each day. It’s a fun way to stay connected and requires very little time on your part. Plus, the app is free (just a few ads every once in a while).
2. Call Her Every 3-4 Days to Keep Her Interested
Most people hate calling. But if you want to keep a girl interested in you, texting won’t cut it. Texting is not personable, and it’s a hard way to get to really know someone. Call a woman every 3-4 days and talk to her for 10 to 20 minutes to catch up. It’s easier than setting up a formal virtual online date, and you don’t have to worry about lighting or what you are wearing!
For an easy way to end the phone call after 10 or 20 minutes, call the girl on your way home from the grocery store, or before your weekly family scheduled Zoom meeting. This way, you can end the call with, “Hey! It was so great catching up. I should run to go to my family’s weekly virtual happy hour, but I’ll call you later!”
Just make sure to give the girl advance notice when you first call her that you are on your way home from the grocery store, or that you figured you’d give her a call while you had time before a family Zoom meeting. That way, she won’t be surprised, taken aback, or turned off when you end the call.
Need questions to ask a girl on the phone? Your conversation doesn’t have to be anything fancy. Just ask her about her day, and then ask her more questions. Did she have a busy day at work? Ask her why things were busy. Is she getting bored at work? Ask her what she’s doing in her extra free time.

3. Send Her a Picture Every 2-3 Days When Dating Long-Distance
You can keep a girl interested by sending her photos every once in a while.
You could send a quick message like, “Hope you are having a great day! It’s pouring here!” Then, send a picture of yourself with a sad face and rain in the background. Just don’t send her multiple pictures of the food you are cooking/eating. That’s kind of overdone and dis-tasteful.
